We drove the 26 miles to the ferry terminal in Falmouth in 30 minutes, parked the car and caught the shuttle to the port. It is a 7 mile ferry crossing that takes about an hour.

So we drove back to near our hotel and checked out a Jamaican restaurant. The jerk sauce was delicious and the owner spent the entire meal talking with me about cricket. I think it had been a long while for him being able to have this type of discussion so it was lots of fun.
Afterwards we headed to the hotel and relaxed.
... the pilgrims landed (I didn't know that!). The town here is "Like Mardi Gras" according to some of the other visitors. The party here never stops.

Nantucket boast no stop lights, neon signs or chain stores on their Island. They have a fantastic interest in preserving the tranquil nature of the island, in because of this, there are many acres of pristine land never to be developed! Good for them!
