... other side, we could see some boats moored up, so assumed there must be food nearby. We turned back down the walkway, Andy was walking along the mangrove edge looking for the huge crabs. With a quick shout to 'stop', he did and very nearly walked straight into a massive spiders web, but so lucky for him I just got a glimpse of the web shining in the sun, before he stepped into it head first & there was a massive spider sat right in the middle uurgh.

... to stay on board a 110 ft Sailboat, where Norman and old friend or ours is Captain. So at least our creature comforts are taken care off, after having a tough day on the road. Richard and Lulu, old sailing friends from East London that sailed across many years ago helped us a lot with fixing little things on the van. Richard has a yacht repair and maintenance business in Fort Lauderdale so tools were no problem.
Wednesday 28 we left at last ...
It felt so good to sleep in…we woke up around 8am, and then lounged until 8:30am. We finished packing, Rob went to smoke, and then I ran down to the Windjammer for coffee. As I was coming back to the room, one of the guards was coming out of the corner suites, and I asked if it was the Royal Loft Suite, he said no, but if I wanted to take a look, he'd show it to me (it was on the other side of the hall).

... and back. En route I pass a downtown street festival just starting to get underway, a small farmers' market, cross a couple of drawbridges and past many beautiful homes and past by more beautiful cars.
My iPhone says I walked just over 9 miles. My Fitbit says I walked just under 8 miles. Since the RunKeeper app on the iPhone uses GPS and the Fitbit uses some random measure of my stride length based on my height, I am going with the iPhone.
