... we both swim as fast as we can and race out, panting and all jittery, onto the far jetty. Boy we must have looked like a couple of ming mongs to all those lazying on up their sunbeds. Anyhow, after all our carry on, the potential snorkelers and other leisure swimmers actually stop going in. Haha. If we can’t have a swim, NO ONE can ******mit.

En aucun cas, en tout cas avec nous, quelqun peut venir et plonger direct sur l'epave, a moins de prendre un guide prive, donc payer encore plus cher. La journee coute tres cher. ... museum guard rushes us through these two rooms as he wants to close the mummy room a half hour early.

As we walk out of the museum, Shaimaa points out a burnt out building next door to the museum. Apparently this building was burned by the Mubarek government during the January revolution in an effort to destroy records.

Historical Traveler Reviews Beach Albatros Sharm Sharm El-Sheikh

    More than expected

    from anonymous

Surprisingly the Beach Albatros was nothing like it was notoriuosly painted on the internet. The sea view from balcony was amazing, the beach was at arms lenght, and although the sea wasn't quite warm yet, the sun was hot enough to make you sweat! Putting a smile on tourists face was staff's pleasure. We were never left hungry or bored: Voleyball, sauna, bellydancing lessons, massage etc we didnt have enough time for all that! That's why we are planning to visit again!

    What a sham........

    from anonymous

In all the places in all the world I WOULDN'T recommend this one......

All I can say is four star.......NOT even close, 3,2 not even and 1 is an over estimation.

This is the pits, upon arrival we were taken to what I would describe as a shoe box and a room from the flintstones, the temperature was -3 and the air conditioning was nothing more than a piece of junk metal from the ice age.

After attempting to take a shower we skipped the opportunity due to the icicles opposed to water coming from the shower which was a lovely brown colour and wasn't exactly sweet smelling-where it came from I dread to think...

After complaining we were shown two other rooms from one side of the hotel to the other and then a third which we settled temporarily with but we wanted out, this was more like boot camp than a holiday.

The rep was about as useful as a chocolate fireguard as was his manager and bad manners was his expert area. RUDE RUDE RUDE.

As for being all inclusive well if that means drinking acid, eating mush and paying for kiddies snacks such as £3 for a potion of chips or £2 for an ice cream then yes it was all inclusive.

Think twice before you go here.

    Best holiday of my life

    from anonymous

This holiday was one of the best in my whole life. The people are so warm, friendly and welcoming it is impossible not to like them. The hotel had amazing views of the beach, your rooms where cleaned everyday, there was always something for you too eat all fresh and hot, there was always something there you could watch or do. It truly was a great experience and would recomend it too everyone.

    I had a great time

    from anonymous

i had so much fun in AlBatros, the beach was perfect, the ppl were nice, the rooms were clean and very nice... the only thing that could be holding it back is the food, which was good but not excellent!

other than that, it was a great place to stay, and now that im back home, i only wish to go there again!

Just don't ever think to stay in this hotel

    from anonymous

just don't stay in this hotel ... low quality of everything " food & service & faraway from the main centre of city !!

written 4 stars and i'm sure maximum 2 stars

    Worst ever

    from anonymous

OK were do i start first i have never wrote a review but i feel this time i must so sorry if it is a bit long. This my first time in egypt and i heard the hotels are fantastic . That may be true but not for beach albatros . first night was decent we got there at about 11.30pm the hotel management put food on for us as we arrived 36 hours late but from then on it was awful . We were told this was a four star hotel no chance having just come from a four star hotel a few weeks before in morocco this would get a rating of 2 plus .The bedrooms were not bad but the beds were rock hard bathrooms smelt of raw sewage there was no hot water everthing was warm water .I stayed on the ground floor which were supposed to be better rooms judgeing by what other guests were saying . Food all i can say about it is disgusting if you are a fussy eater like me forget it and starve but my wife who is not and likes to try different food had to starve to but on the plus side you can order mcdonads and kentuckey very cheap from reception and delivered . Onsite entertainment rubbish disco rubbish .The bars ah the bars we never knew which one was open at any given time . The staff were very rude to you there were no manners at any time everthing seemed to be an effort for them more so the pizza man at the beach bar and the barman at the small pool bar at one point i was atually told not to walk to my room alone i can only pressume this was a threat which i find hard to belive as never once did i raise my voice . I have been abroad many times and have never been so badly treated even on the day of checking out we were supposed to be out of our rooms by 12.00 but by 10.30 the porter as there to take our luggage . i went to give the keys back at 12.00 were i was not allowed to leave reception untill i had my wristband cut off where upon i was then old to bring all my family to have there bands cut off at this point i said no as my mother is 72 and not steady on her feet so i said i would bring it at which point they agreed only to tell me i could only eat and drink till 2.30 but my coach was not due till 6.30 . All in all i would go back to egypt but in a much better hotel and by the way the weather was fantastic

    Goods hotel for the price

    from anonymous

We had read a few bad reports before we arraive so i was very pleased once we got there and i saw the hotel.

We stayed in one of the Bungelows, the rooms are a good size, with a large bathroom. The rooms were very clean - maid service every day.

There is free drinks provided in the mini bar for all inclusive guests.

Both pools and the beach were kept very clean and were heated.

The staff were very friendly and very helpfull.

You will need to get a taxi in to the main town but from the hotel it will only cost £3 each way ( which is cheap for a 10min drive )

The only 3 bad points were that the foods was basically the same every day, the TV did not work that well ( not the english channels anyway ) and we were woken some mornings by the moasque behind the hotel.

I would recomend this hotel to anyone and if we went back to sharm this is where we would stay. .....very good hotel for the price

Great holiday at the Beach Abatros

    from Phillpy

The Beach Albatros does not look good as you arrive however the hotel facilities and the food were superb. The staff could not do enough for you and were very friendly. I would go back to the Albatros for another holiday.

This is not a 4star hotel

    from anonymous

I was sold this accommodation as a 4 star quality I advise anyone booking that it is definately not of this quality. Do not be fooled as I was the Beach Albartros is fine if you are looking for a 2/3 star deal but do not let the agent foll you into looking at the "Calameria Beach Albertros" which is 4 star and then book you into Beach Albartros. They are quiet different quality.

The rooms in Beach Albartros are not modern especially if you have one of the chalet's they are functional and clean but basic, the tv did not work well and the furniture was old. The pool was cold bearing in mind that they state one of the pools are heated it was not. Food was repetative. Staff were however, very friendly and helpful and the beach was clean.

    Beach albatros

    from evin

beach albatros hotel what an awkful place not 4 star more like 2/3 no choice of food especially for children take plenty of snacks with you for them and immodium for your stomach upsets. If you drink vodka take your own and don't expect much from the evening entertainment. The one redeeming feature is the beach area and evening sunsets. Hotel management and med hotel rep Walleed are useless no help at all. This is the third time i've been to Sharm the other two holidays were brilliant this one what a shambles, it was terrible I wouldn't recommend it.
