... but the hIstorical museum was the highlight. The museum holds many pieces dating back around 4,600 years, with descriptions of the development of this part of the world. Although the drive to Al Ain was a bit boring (sand dunes and date trees do become a bit weary after a while), the museum visit made it worthwhile. ... us so he came round and picked us up from my dads. We didnt really have a plan so we decided to go get a cheesebread from the Al Reef Lebo bakery. The Reem on sheikh zayed road was close by so we went there to wash the cheesebreads down with some moroccan tea and shisha. ... the end of time....creepy. We did try to get into emirates palace but they dont let you in with shorts. It does look really nice so ill need to come back sometime wearing trousers. ... in Dubai seemed so sci-fi futuristic to me in my zombie-like state that it didn't stand out as much as it should have. Actually, only half of the place seemed like that, the other half is basically a building site - with hundreds of Indian and Philipino workers on each huge site. Been on this Emirates A380 flight for 12 hours. Amazing facilities and service. Full internet access. Can receive and send emails and even make mobile calls.Just had a Skype video call would you believe with Graham Kinnear in Wollombi.
