... we needed some lemon for our gin on the ship. The buffets had whole lemons in their displays, so one night I took one back to our cabin only to find it was plastic! Very good plastic! ... and won't miss food tomorrow while flying I can say. Back to try to get some sleep over full as up at 5.30am to head to airport by 6.15am. Fly out of Dubai at 10am Sunday morning and fly all day missing the night as we arrive in Melbourne at at 5am Monday morning and back in Tassie at 10am. 14hrs straight. ... to music and accompanied by timed lighting was simply mesmorising. It might sound like a stretch, but it was like the movement of a ballet. The beauty of the fountains together with the power (some blasts of water were up to 150 meters into the air), were really a work of art. Had a late dinner at a Lebanese restaurant nearby, bought some Lebanese pastries and then headed home for bed.

I tried to charge my phone, so I didn't have to ration battery life quite so much. Ironically, for a place called Sharjah, none of the charger sockets worked! My laptop still had plenty of battery, so I decided to watch the Men Who Stare at Goats. This time, I did not have any company!
