Yesterday we were up early ready to go on our tour of Dubai and visit the gold and spice souks. We headed off and the temperature on our bus was 37 degrees at 8.30 in the morning. To give you an idea of what the temperature was like ,when we returned to our hotel at 2.30 the temperature was 47 degrees at the pool on the roof top of our hotel. The traffic was a nightmare but apart from our cramped legs there was certainly plenty to entertain us along the way.......what a place to people watch!! We will certainly sleep well tonight...a quick dinner at the hotel restaurant and off to bed. It's been over 36 hours since our heads have seen a proper pillow.....phew! Only one more flight! The wifi is not working here so no blog uploaded ...

Living Up to Hype

... out and immediately be in the mall. I quickly found out how wrong I was. I walked for 15 minutes in an indoor passageway-virtually a sidewalk but elevated and with A/C. There were about 5 moving sidewalks to help with the distance, and the views of downtown Dubai and the Burj Khalifa were pretty incredible.

Eventually, I made it to the mall and found my way to the entrance to the Burj Khalifa. People can just make a last minute decision to go up to the observation deck, but ...
