Her mom makes the BEST FOOD (and the best cosmos): chicken curries, saucy potatoes, pecan desserts and chocolate fondue. Avi's family has culinary & kitchen contributions from Sunita, who lives in the home. She is super nice, and is an amazing cook as well. She does a great job of ...

Then it was time for some more dune bashing, and by this time Andrea was asking for a smoother ride (she didn't get one, though). On the plane, I was seated in Economy Plus in a three-seat aisle. I had the left hand seat, there was nobody in the middle (yea for me!), and there was an older Arabic-speaking American citizen on the right side of the aisle. Before ...

I left China on a Sunday night taking the 2AM express jet to the Persian Gulf country known as
“Qatar”. The flight lasted about 8 hours and nightime flights are good for long distances since everyone goes to sleep for much of the night. Since we were flying East to West, the time zones werekeeping up with us to some extent, so after flying for 8 hours, the time was still 6 AM when we got to Qatar. After a one hour wait in the Qatari airport I took a ...
