... the road we were already on wound right through the Gorge (just like we planned). There are many, many stopping places with car parking on the twisty descent and most of them were empty at this time of year; that is until we got near the bottom, and the village, when they began to fill up with cars and coaches. Ah the coach, never again shall Barry be allowed to choose the seats. Surrounded by noisy, smelly children and smokers. We transferred to a taxi and squeezed in with another couple for the final part of the journey to our hotel. First impressions ...

Off we go to our B&B. We are only here one night on route to Portsmouth. In the morning we take a walk down by the sea. They have a nice little pedestrian area where you can stroll along as well. It is another nice day and the dogs are all out playing in the surf. Dogs are prohibited from the beach from May to September, but it is October now and it is play time for puppies.
