60 Beach Road Batemans Bay, New South Wales, Australia, 2587
Spent the day mainly relaxing and did a bit of shopping and then saw some more of Ulladulla. Had a good day and at night went out for dinner to the local chinese restaurant. Was probably some of the best chisnes we've been to for a while. The only downer was that Elijah didn't feel well during the meal and consequently threw up. He felt better after that and the boys both enjoyed when we got back doing a little more dancing with the girls. Early night as I was feeling tired. <br>
Ulladulla, New South Wales, Australia drownsroundausWe are now in Batemans Bay, staying at the more than pleasant Batesmans Bay Beach Resort. The facilities here are excellent and we are close to everything, especially the beach. The beach is good for fishing and walking as its too cold to go swimming. Yesterday David had some work to do. The kids and I walked along the beach and collected shells, and watched the sunset. Back at the caravan park we found a great play area with a ...
Batemans Bay, New South Wales, Australia macphailsBatemans Bay I woke up at 5am to catch the bus at 6.30am to Bateman bay which was a three hour journey. When I arrived I had to walk up the hill for about 15 minutes to the YHA from the town center. The YHA was a caravan park but had one small building in the middle. This was the place where i was staying, It had a kitchen, lounge and two 6 bed ...

We went on a kangaroo search since we had not seen any yet. The day was hot and I took my compass with the thermometer to show that the sand on the beach was 46 degrees C. Later in the afternoon a cold front below in and the next day it was raining and 15 degrees. The ...
Batemans Bay, Australia christinagary... views out into the bay. What was even more enchanting was that this beach was also practically deserted - in England, a beach like this would be commercialised beyond belief, and having people camping out on it at the first sign of sunshine. After lunch in paradise, I took over behind the wheel ...
Batemans Bay, Australia sianeth... point of the country. The number of Aussies that head to Anzac Day services in Gallipoli is phenomenal. It is as important as Australia Day to the Aussies and that is saying something. After the War Memorial it was onto the Parliament building. It costs $1.1billion when it opened in 1988 and perched on top of a hill it bestrides the skyline. I didn't bother with a tour of it, and with Parliament not in session, I dandered about myself. You were able to get into both ...
Bateman's Bay, Australia mariborkev... to do anything but - he said he wasn't looking!) and thankfully a couple coming the other way saw the whole thing and gave a statement to the police. The locals and the police were superb, very caring. It turned out that the young lad was a local and his mum and dad were on the scene in moments (his mum came over and apologised!). The final twist was that we were supposed to not be drinking this week but after that we walked into town for a beer ...
Batemans Bay, Australia sueandmarcus... said than done. We were still only 20km's from Kings Cross and still hadn't come across one yet! We eventually saw one on the other side of the highway and had to do a risky U turn to get there! $60 later and we had a full tank. Half the price I would pay back home so I think I'll enjoy driving around Aus! We arrived in Wollongong and saw a huge beach, North Beach, and thought what the hell! It was a gorgeous day and we couldn't waste the whole time driving in the car. So we ...
Pebbley Beach, Australia rbisset... had the windows down whichwas a bad idea with the mozzies around, and then in the middle of the night i awoke freezing cold, the weather had took a turn, with rain and wind, it was unreal ! 6am we woke up, and were driving by 6:20am. again we followed the coast, well kind of, it was supposed to be a coast road but it didnt real touch the coast, later we discovered that you have to turn off at various points and drive into the ...
Wolungong, Australia james24... earinged wattle birds and the exquisite, elctric blue striped, fairy wren. At dawn and dusk, kangaroos emerge from the National Park forest that encirlce the site, they don't get fed but do sem to enjoy eating on some of the grassed areas. Rene and I have now seen dozens of kangaroos, but we'll never tire of watching these amazing creatures. They're as free as birds here, and to see them speed off into the woods with minimum effort and maximum hop is magical. Jim returned with two ...
