... of Australia, we were told by a few different people that it was a must do. When Jimmy the hyperactive 'isn't-life-SO-great' tour guide picked us up at 7:20am it was raining..... and it was still raining when we got dropped off at 5pm. We went out in Newtown on Saturday night. Newtown is a suburb outside of Sydney, about 15 minute train journey. Wicked place, lots of cool and quirky bars and pubs down there with great beer gardens. ... frustrating knowing that nothing can be done about the effects of war, poverty, corruption and child labour. Not that that's ever acceptable but we had to accept things could be worse. For example, the Cambodian people are currently suffering greatly because of their corrupt government but they don't care because poverty is better than death. ... it! We made a dash for the Bridge and Opera House on our way back from the coast. And yes we got our 'lovely' photos with both of Sydney's prize possessions. Day three was our most exhausting yet, rewarding time in Sydney. However funnily enough we traveled 2 hours out of the city to experience this. We made for the Blue Mountains.
