Tomorrow we head for Louisiana and hope we will be traveling with sunshine and a temperature of at least 60.

So glad our 5th wheel has a furnace and portable heaters.

Despite the weather the Mississippi River view is gorgeous, Graceland was nostalgic and the Corvette Museum is what dream cars are made of.

Louisiana beckons....

... Elvis music is being played in the background as you go through room by room. The final stop is Elvis's burial memorial along with his parents and brother.

For any Elvis fan it is a dream trip come true as you view all of his memorabilia.

As for me- it brought memories of my youth and the songs we danced to in a bygone era.

Next stop- West Monroe, LA

Day 2 Sprinfield ...

... from Matta. We ate lunch here at the airport and Scott got a BBQ sandwich, while I went to a burger place because I wasn't feeling as brave. Then we tried to get our internet to hook up on our laptop for awhile, but we finally got it.

... get something to eat because I'd finally seen an ad for Chick-fil-A, which I've been dying to try. We walked in, stepping over some bright yellow slop at the front door. We got to the counter to place our order and I noticed another pile of bright yellow slop. After standing there for about, ooooooh, 30 seconds, the tangy smell of barf assailed my delicate nostrils. Someone had barfed at the Chick-fil-A. Ewwwwwww!! Enough to put me off me ...

... was a mistake. Before we realized there were probably 100 huge mosquitos flying around inside the van. Jessica doesn't do bugs, so she pretty much went on a two hour mass killing spree of mosquitos. It was pretty darn disgusting, we tried to get rid of them all, but it was pretty much impossible. The hardest part was trying to sleep in the hot, humid, bug infested van! Luckily, we didn't get bit, but it was still very hard to sleep. Lesson learned, don't ...

... irreparably, into a hideous, tacky, themepark. In fact, that is what we were expecting. Deep down, we didn't hold out much hope for being impressed. And, to be fair, there were twenty or so giftshops where you could indulge your cravings for Elvis-themed memorabelia - anything from Elvis ties and Elvis leather jackets to Elvis Monopoly and Elvis Yatzee. ... a massive fan. She'll kill me for publishing this but she cried for over a week! The whole experience was quite moving and really brought back both the mega success and the sadness of Elvis' short life. Sun Studio was initially set up by Sam Phillips in the 1950's and is now an historic landmark. This studio is famous for the discovery and recordings of stars such as, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison. In latter days ...

... We returned to our temporary home to clean up and get ready for the pink limo to pick us up and bring us to Marlow's (free service) best BBQ in town (aren't they all?) But this one really did have some of the best BBQ we have ever had and possibly the best waitress we ever had! We tried fried green tomatoes for the first time....very tasty! The limo brought us ...
