A relatively relaxing day. A shortish journey to Orlando and the hotel. We sat around the pool and swam a bit before going for a short run down International Drive - a sort of up Market versionof Blackpool front. E & D took a short helicopter flight and flew over Seaworld, Universal Studios, wet and Wild amongst other sites including the Hard Rock Cafe and the largest McDonalds in the world. Over a drink we watched the Man Utd game - only one point needed now! Back to the hotel to swim and cat...
Orlando, Florida, United States white-travelsVisited the Disney Epcot Centre today. Although sceptical about going, DW enjoyed the day. Everything is very slick and very well presented. Missed a couple of the more 'exciting' rides as the queues were too long. An excellent Chinese acrobat display. Very good flower displays. You may get an email of us at one of the exhibitions! Sadly, after a hot but partially cloudy day the day ended a little prematurely with a thunderstorm! As none of us has rainwear with us we did get a trifle wet! How...
Orlando, Florida, United States white-travelsA last day feel about today. Sat around the pool before visiting a couple of malls. Millenia Mall was very upmarket and we looked but did not buy! Florida Mall was more like Meadowhall - with it's own Oasis eating place. However, here they offered samples of food to try before buying - or not. Now to packing cases for the journey home.

We had purchased 5-day "Go Cards" for Orlando, so we rushed around trying to fit in as many pre-paid attractions as we could, including a day at the Kennedy Space Centre (with a great 3D movie about the moon, a space shuttle launch simulator and lots of actual rockets); a visit to Gatorland (Americans don't seem to be quite as politically correct about how they treat their animals as we are in Australia, so ...

... added a few more - this was my first trip to Disney with kids in my group (except for when I was one) so we did add rides that were more geared towards them. We did the Indy Speedway (which my young nephew loved - because he was able to drive!), It's a small world, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Dumbo, Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Stitches Great Escape ...

... long it would be for the more popular rides in the park. When we met them on line they were up to the part of the line where you wind through a few small corridors and it was unbelievably hot. We passed the time by talking about "Song Of the South" and how Mom used to love it when she was younger. Thankfully the line had gotten considerably shorter during the parade and we were on our boat in only twenty-five minutes ...
