Today we went to Hillsboro, then further up the mountain to Kingston and to Emery Pass at the top of the mountain. It is 8230 feet elevation. It was windy again today, but up at the top of the mountain it was snowing...and very cold!!! Emery Pass is at the top of the mountain. Phil said that you could usually see almost 100 miles out. It is starting to hit me that I am leaving this Saturday! I can hardly sleep at night, the anticipation of what the next six weeks will be like is killing me. Last week I got my new luggage in, and yesterday I packed just about everything I will need and my bag weighed 35 pounds!
