We stayed at Bonnie and Sal's on Saturday and Sunday night. We had a great time, and hope that they will come to Michigan this summer. Bonnie is still the same, we laughed a lot. Salvador is a lot of fun, we drank beer and talked a bunch. They have such a nice house, Salvador has done a lot of work on it.
Z Magdaleny vyjíždíme dopoledne k jedinýmu důvodu, proč jsme do týhle díry zavítali a tím je Very Large Array pár mil odtud.
Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States r-e-m... roads and sand is piled up on the side. It looked just like a fresh snowfall had been plowed. And once you get back in to the dunes, all you see is white. I guess if you have never seen snow it wouldn't have the same effect on you as it did on me. I felt like I was in a big snow field and as long as I was in my car I was cold. Stupid right, what tricks your mind can play on you. But the ...

Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States patrick234An unexpected 3-day stop over in Las Cruces helped restore us, mind and body, and prepare us for our upcoming tour of National Parks in the 4 corners area. Las Cruces is home to New Mexico State University and while parts of town appear pretty beaten and sleepy, there are some points of interest and daytrips worth note. The impressive Organ Mountains watch over the city and attract higher-end residential and ...
Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States kellyjohn... to depend on them to help us out. Our RV park is very nice. Our camping fee includes breakfast every morning so it was nice that I had one less meal each day to set out and clean up. The park hosted a "Marguerita Night" on Friday so that was fun. The margueritas were very tasty and gave us a chance to mingle with the other people in the park. Went to a highly rated Mexican restaurant for some Mexican food. We only ate Mexican once years ago and didn't like it at all but ...
Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States jimcabay... our trek until we get to California.St. Claire is the largest winery in New Mexico and bottles wine under four different labels. Both vineyards make viognier which is quite good. The St. Claire folks make a white merlot that has wonderful strawberry note. After the wineries, we went to the old Mesilla town square and wandered around. The square is ...
Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States pfl_guypretty cold at morning but really nice, it was my first time in a sand desert. this reserve is close to vehicles, so the visit is done hiking. always be careful, dunes don't look the same from both sides and the sun stay a nice reference to find back your ...
White Sands, New Mexico, United States ciexiHello, Can you believe we're already finishing our second week here on our trek across the USA? Well time sure flies when you're cruising through these hot southwest states. Jeopardy question for the day. Do you know the 2nd largest city in New Mexico. (Time to think...) We've had a great week. Lots of prickled pears, cracked shoulders, and falling down structures (and no I'm not characterizing me or any of the interesting ...
Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States joyinjesus... for Barb, Di rode by. We continued our ride, with the group fracturing due to the difficult riding conditions. First we lost Barb, then Sherri. Judy was taking a turn pulling and was doing her best trying to catch Di. She was unable to catch her, so I took off, telling her to follow me. I took off so fast, she was unable to hold my wheel, and got left behind. I managed to catch up with Di, and we finished the ride together. Once again, I was the center of conversation ...
