    Preparing for the journey

    ... 5pm Mass with their families. During Mass, Msgr. Vincke will give us a blessing for trip.

    After months and months of planning and fundraising we are so ready to go forth and bring Christ's love to Cincinnati!
    Please keep us in your prayers. We will be departing at 10:30am on Sunday morning and will return on July 18.

    ... about suing people. Meanwhile the adults were doing laundry and there was an earthquake-just a couple hours away from us! We didn't feel it, but this is not normal for Michigan. We stopped by a Coney Island called John's- very good, and possibly a little to much of a good thing. There was so much food. Good choice Bailey's! All too soon it was time to figure out how to re-pack the car and say our goodbyes :( Again, we left just a little later than planned ...

    ... br> We stopped and had lunch about 2 PM at a wonderful little restaurant in Owosso called the Wrought Iron Grill. Peg had fresh Lake Michigan perch that was super; I had a very good pulled pork with homemade barbecue sauce. As we dined on a wonderful shaded porch we spotted an old water tower that had a tremendous character. It looks like they may be renovating it – it will be interesting to see how it turns out.     ... local beach. Unfortunately, no one was at the beach when we arrived, so we drove around to find kids, weren’t able to find any, and we decided to call it for the day.

    We’re back at the RV and heading to Birch Run, Michigan this evening where we’ll be staying at a library. Hopefully that means really good wi-fi so that we can continue to catch up on Doctor Who Season ...
