      Well, made it to the airport despite the horrible back-up on Orchard Lake Road.....we were lucky enough to be "chosen" for TSA PRE CHECK", which means we didn't have to remove our shoes, coats, or even empty our pockets!       ... no trouble getting to the airport and dropping the car off. Tickets....well that is another story. They have kiosks that you print out your baggage tags and boarding pass. Marlin's boarding pass was not marked as priority and that led to a long line wait for security. Leave it to me to have the beeper go off and need to get patted down. I had earrings and rings on and no other wire unless the suspension system in my under garment counts ?!? ;) Nice way to start the am. ...

      ... additional elevator installed. They're trying to reproduce Henry Ford's office and the room where the Model T was designed but information is sketchy. They do have an impressive collection of early cars, many of which were built at this plant, but not a whole lot else. You do get some sense of Ford and automotive history but not as much as I was hoping ...
