      Our first home -

Steve and I have lived here for 17 years - it is the first home we bought together.
Love the house, the town and the property. 2 Acres of nice wooded land - lots of room for the dogs to roam and creates a park like atmosphere for us to enjoy. House is 2100 sq ft - more space then what 2 people should need but it was the perfect buy for us at the time

On the Mackinac Bridge, the speed limit for loaded trucks is 20 mph which meant we went fairly slowly at times as one lane was closed for maintenance in parts. Good for tourists who want to have a good look.

I am still getting used to the electrical system here. Switches are flipped up to turn them on (not down) and power points have no switches - just plug into the wall.

After Meandering for 83 days over two seasons, 2028 miles, through 158 locks , we've crossed our wake on our Great Meander on the Little Loop!

It has been a great trip and we would recommend it highly to anyone wanting to do their own meandering. Which part did we like best? It is hard to ...

... the entire time we've been in Canada - unlike CT. We initially couldn't decide if we would stay another night somewhere else in Ontario or make it into Michigan. The scenary all around was beautiful and saw 3 of the great lakes - Lake Ontario, Lake Erie and Lake Huron......pretty awesome. We made great time travelling and decided to cross into the US and are staying at an absolutely beautiful KOA which is actually in Kimball, ...
