    ... to the Panama Canal, it is just another port town. More Fjords then back to the Pacific and onto Valparaiso the port near Santiago, Chile. About 560 people we doing the back to back like us but a new 1400 people were embarking. Back to a major capital city for a tour after passing through the Casablanca wine region on route. Can't do everything but we did sample lots of Chilean wines on the cruise which of course were featured. ...

    My family heard about a fabulous sounding hike in the newspaper last week as we drove to the Grand Valley hike over in the Olympic Mountains, and today we decided to give it a go! It is the glacier basin trail along the eastern (or dry) side of Mt. Rainier, Washington States highest peak! The tip top of the mountain rises up to over 14,400 feet above sea leave, which is about twice the height of the tallest peak in the Olympic Mountains.

    ... Shalom Cuba Road Scholar program, so we were all very interested in how it would go, what the participants would think about it, and how the interactions with the locals would go.
