The Chicago skyline was much different at night than in the daylight. After weaving through traffic to get out of the city, we remembered how beautiful it was when we were here last. We wanted to get back on the road so we can stay on schedule to get to New Jersey by Tuesday.

You also have to be careful which bus driver you get. Some of them drive like they're trying to beat their own personal best times between stops. ... and Iowa are different from the dry rocky Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming. Here we see a lot of green fields with the beautiful tiny field flowers, lots of forests, and more houses scattered arround. The towns seem to be more connected with each other, there are no huge empty spaces like those in the states we previously passed through ...

After a two and a half hour nap at the Four Seasons I hopped on a shuttle and headed back to LAX for the 6:00 AM flight to Chicago. It is interesting to see an airport "wake up" in the morning as airport staff and TSA agents were slowly moving along setting up the cattle car lines and warming up all the machines. After a flying with Virgin Atlantic from heathrow we had to connect here a Ohare to get to Omaha.

Wow the first experience of a delayed connecting flight due to weather conditions and AAirlines not flying we set here for hours waiting for the connection flight.
