... so excited that she couldn't even take her piece of sausage at first. But eventually managed :-). She's so cute and small - I wanted to pop her in my handbag. It is sad leaving Michigan - it has been so lovely meeting everyone and feeling so welcomed. I have a feeling that we'll be back soon. As we drove south it was quite the rainy day. We drove through Detroit and there were lots of road works, which meant I had time to take it all in. It ...

We have learned a great deal about rugby and Gaelic football!!! It is insane here when it comes to these sports.

Today is the all Ireland final between rivals Kerry and Dublin. There are over 82000 people at Croke Park and thousands more in the streets and pubs. It is essentially their Super bowl and we are thrilled to be here for ...

Derek came to the house for a while and we watched Rick Steves Scotland and then an episode of Vicious - classic British humor with Ian McKellan and Derek Jacobi. Derek went home and we went to bed.

... morning cup of tea in? would we have little fluffy animals waiting on the bed for us? Who knows? Only John & Maryline for now.

Once we had arrived with them, John was telling us about how he had got involved with Columbus Zoo. This zoo has been voted Americas favourite zoo and we think John said was the second largest in the whole North American continent. So quite some achievement.

John is on the Board of Directors for the zoo and has been involved for ...

... We gave the search another hit on Wednesday morning and hit a stumbling block. Whatever we buy, we would not be able to drive as we needed a residential address to get insurance. And you have to have insurance to register the car. As foreigners we would not be able to buy here at all it seems. Umm can we find a way around it? We shall keep looking.

Wednesday afternoon saw us driving off to Zanesville, south east of Columbus and out to the Wilds. We were ...
