    ... like we would make it to the hotel by 6:00. However, 94 west was horrible. We hit multiple stretches of serious traffic - with no observable cause. I have no idea what the problem was. We would literally get through one patch, get back up to 70 mph, and then all of a sudden everyone was breaking again. It ended up adding an entire hour onto our drive.     We had a great weekend in Madison! We loved seeing Pam for the weekend and loved walking around the campus and enjoying the food and beauty of Madison.

    We ate extremely well all weekend! The places we went to included -
    Bassett Street Brunch Club (Avocado Toast)

    ... The tour boats were crazy. They definitely strove to provide an element of thrill for their passengers. They did a high-speed donut in the river in front of us. It made for some nice waves to make the kids feel like they were at the ocean for a spell.

    ... and water….. Man, that was rough.

    We woke up before 3 am after fitful sleeps to get ‘er done and catch a cab to the airport at 4 am. We stopped through O’hare on the way to Newark. We’re staying at my college buddy’s place in New York’s Upper East Side. (Thanks Darrin!).

    After all the worries, we have no regrets and look forward to the journeys that lay ahead.

    ... to Indianapolis. It was only 5:30 when I got through Indianapolis... So I decided to drive the rest of the way home. Got here at 10:30 so it was a 15 hour drive as I gained an hour crossing the time zone somewhere. Had a great trip -- 3480 miles total.
