The journey home is long! From St. John's we flew to Halifax, Nova Scotia. From there we flew to Toronto, and then to Minneapolis. We were picked up by Andrew who brought us to our car. ... definitely surreal. I hardly even recognized her when she walked up.
Being in these places that I spent periods of my life have been interesting to look back on and see how much I have grown as a person. I definitely have changed a lot over the last decade and although I do not know the path ahead of me, I know that the people and the places I have been have shaped me to be who I am and the way I look at life.
What a beautiful drive through the southern parts of South Dakota, Minnesota, and into Wisconsin! Rolling hills of yellow wild flowers in South Dakota. European-style farmhouses and those giant wind turbines everywhere along I-90 through Minnesota. And the giant bluffs along the flood-swollen Mississippi River as we entered Wisconsin ...
... don't worry, we'll get to sample it along the way. Bought our first chunk of Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese today and we'll have to do a happy hour to enjoy it with a cold beer.
Today started out with beautiful weather, it rained a bit and we are due for thunderstorms tonight. We did have heavy storms last night as well. I think the weather is supposed to be mostly sunny with chances of storms for the next couple of days. Either way, we'll enjoy ourselves. ...
... Trees - this A frame has a straw bale roof as well and is beautiful. We also got to check out the attached greenhouse, two story office building, workshop and extensive gardens.
Amelia was very engaging and convinced Glenn 'if Roald can build these buildings, so can you!' Now full disclosure here - Roald is also Amelia's husband!

It's a bit hit and miss with this place it seems. The room was big but the carpets were very old. Had a decent night sleep.
