Left Wilson today and it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Layla crawled for the first time today and it was to me. I got all my stuff packed, but just feel like I forgot stuff. I have a cool room mate though. She's sweet, and is going to Africa. This girl is gonna do big ...

Today we rode on into Greenville. It was an early morning for us in Belhaven, especially after the late night yesterday. Last night, a large group of us went to the local bar for some drinks and cornhole. Belhaven, I mean, it's just absolutely beautiful, and just so unexpected. They are known to roam an area in Northern Carolina around Corolla which is part of the 7000 acre Currituck National Wildlife refuge. ...

We had to be out of our hostel by 10am this morning and unfortunately there was still no solution to the shutdown so we decided to have an easy stroll down to a park by the museums after stopping at Starbucks for a long breakfast. Managed to find some wifi in the park so caught up with a few people before heading back up to the hostel to collect our rucksacks. We found out that the metro was only a block away so took that ...

    Halfway to the Beach!

We started our trip to the beach Friday afternoon. I came home from work a little early, finished packing our stuff, and we left out as soon as Pete got home and could change out of his work clothes. We first dropped Bella off with our dog sitter, Beth. Bella waltzed right into her living room, attacked a toy, and almost paid no attention ...
