Saying Goodbye and Heading to "Down State"

The morning started with a trip to Starbucks . . . I drove this time, as there was a pretty good downpour!! BTW, we had water again!!

Our intentions were that we would say goodbye and hit the road, but when we got to Nick & Connie's, she had prepared a complete breakfast for us . . . so we stayed to enjoy it and visit a bit more.

When we turned into the Lost Creek apartment complex, we were surprised by something white on the sign. This is ...

Before we left Petoskey, we stopped at Kilwins, a chocolate, candy and ice cream shop where tours ran all day. We took the ...

I live in Petoskey, MI. Which is located at the top of the lower peninsula of Michigan on Lake Michigan. Population is a little less than 6,000...in the summer I would guess about 5 bazillion (haha that's a joke, but seriously it's ridiculous). Sure, it's beautiful here-people come here from all over to visit: spend their summers camping or boating and their ...

    Almost Back In Milford

A travel blog entry by louandpam on Oct 24, 2013

Our last campground stop before heading back to Milford to close on the house was just outside Grayling at Lake Margarethe State Forest Campground. One more beautiful campground on a lake that abutted Camp Grayling. It was very quiet and offered sites on the water that were appropriate for tent or trailers. Also several caches to get that are within walking distance to the campground.

    While walking ...
