... One doctor, it was claimed, completed a below-hip leg amputation in 35 seconds. Apparently in his haste he also removed the patient's left testicle! From the museum, we walked south through a very well-to-do area where classic Chicago mansions were commonplace, many with heritage listings protecting them from the high-rise developers' aspirations to replace them with apartments. A stop at the Pump House restaurant was in order, as it had been quite ...

... had endless movie options, TV shows, music, and video games all for FREE! Our meal was quite fine, and even the wine was a perfectly lovely tempranillo. Amelie was most excited about the offered pillow and blanket. Oliver was excited about the entire experience and that he would be in Spain when we landed. Ian really wanted to stay in Chicago, and Elyse, well the entire trip has been nothing but "wows" from her. Overall, we had an amazing flight. And then, the fun began!

... had a side salad as well cause I have to eat at least some healthy food! The train and walk back was fine as well and the neighborhood I am in has a nice feel to it. The streets are quiet, with trees and not many people. I am always street smart wherever I go but at least I don't have to be paranoid when I'm walking just around the block! Off to bed soon for me... Super tired! Hopefully the weather will be okay for tomorrow so I can get some more site-seeing ...
