We got some good piccies though and also enjoyed the few moments where we stood on the 'Sky Ledge' - just a thick pane of glass between our feet and a long way down (1300ft+) to the sidewalks below... ... were then entertained for 15 minutes by a show of fireworks that were as good as any we have seen. The show concluded with lots of cheers and applause and people wishing one another a happy new year. Champagnes were consumed before the account was settled, we rugged up and were on our way. We were soon ushered into a #65 bus that crawled back into the city through traffic and well wishers. We made the final dash from the bus stop to S&M's apartment in bitterly cold ...

... The Miami Dolphins dominated the game and scored four to one touchdowns. A little disappointing that we weren't able to watch another home town win. The halftime marching band was... interesting. Certainly far apart from the versions provided to me by Hollywood. It was entertaining but for maybe the wrong reasons. Tomorrow we're leaving cold Chicago for the 30 degree temperatures of Sin ...
