Today we toured Mammoth Cave, It got its name cause it so huge 371 miles discovered so far. We toured for 4 1/2 hours seeing 4 miles. If you think vacationing is a good way to get out of work, not today!!!, It was steep inclines, 700 plus stairs and like being in a sauna. Heck I probably loss weight today. Its a limestone cave and some gypsum. The 1st mile was an easy stroll thru a well lit passage way ...

Worse thing though.... during the night someone siphoned fuel from our truck- over a half of tank. As result we will NEVER ...
Bowling Green, Kentucky, United States _travel_along_National Corvette Museum.....
Enjoyed a couple of hours at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. The museum is a wonderful tribute to this American icon.
The first thing Mr, said to the museum attendant... "had a 67 corvette and I wish I would have kept it." The response was " I hear that everyday and it is regret ...
Drove down from Taylorsville in the pouring rain but thank goodness it was not a very long trip as it was only 125 miles.
The campground was easy to find - right off I 25. We enjoy staying at the state parks but they are often off the beaten path (as we learned from our previous stop). These KOA's are easier to get to but lack the beauty and solitude of nature.
Now about Mr.'s snoring. You see, at home; we have king ...

... getting better and better! Did I say that Curtis Burch played with Michael Gough? So excellent! Then came “Duckbutter”, which has Greg has said, consisted of Sam Bush, John Cowan, Byron House, Kenny Lee, Reese Wynans and Jeff Jones. They were also a blues/rock band. Kenny and Sam both on lead guitar, they exchanged the most amazing licks, and played their own solos, well, like the consummate musicians that ...
Bowling Green, Kentucky, United States greg-mary-scott... last set with Curtis, John and Sam.
After the show I was able to get all the members of the Sam Bush Band to sign my guitar and during the day I was able to get Curtis and Ruth Birch to both sign the guitar.
We stood around and talked to Lynn Bush for almost an hour before she packed up the merchandize and headed for the bus back to Nashville. Lynn always has some great stories and, as she says ...
... chairs down fairly close to the stage, and center. When we had settled down and organized ourselves, I realized that I had missed a message on my cell phone. When I looked to see who had called, it was Terry McManus, telling me that he was at the festival, was wearing a blue shirt, and had a black dog with him on a leash. I had previously known that he would be with Hazel Johnson. As I was listening to the message, who should walk right by me but that very ...
Bowling Green, Kentucky, United States greg-mary-scott... Caves National Park. It is only a 20 mile drive from the hotel up I-65 and a 7-mile drive to the visitors’ center. Twice on the road to the visitors’ center we were stopped by wildlife crossing the road. The first time was a pair of wild turkeys and later a deer. No we did not get any pictures. When we got to the visitors’ center we were told that the next tour was at 4:45 or 5:00 and we did not want to wait the hour and a half for a tour. To ...
Bowling Green, Kentucky, United States greg-mary-scott24 Oct 05 The Gaudet southern adventure began on Wednesday the 19th of October at 7.55 a.m. We left Sault Ste. Marie under cloud cover, winds and a mean 3 degrees Celsius. It was a first for us at U.S. Customs having passed through in under a minute and without an inspection. We were flabbergasted. Immediately upon entering the States, we stopped so Rick could fill his new 45 gallon, $1000.00 fuel tank. For those who are not aware, Rick was very apprehensive about ...
