Ready for the Adventure!

A travel blog entry by htrude on Jun 23, 2015

It's hard to believe that we are leaving for Italy and Greece tomorrow! I am beyond excited for this trip and cannot wait for the adventure to begin. As excited as I am for the trip, I am not so excited about packing. For one who travels abroad frequently, you would think I would have no trouble packing; however I always procrastinate on packing. To the beginning of the Skyline Drive

No pictures today. The remote to Go Pro died. The ride was generally nice. Started off cool in Ct. and I had to add a couple of layers. I rode 427 Miles today and stopped for lunch. About 20 miles into my ride I got to a town called Romney. It was a very nice little town that just happened to have a Dairy Queen. I took a short break to eat and then got back on my bike. ...

Day 5 and I have done 5 States - D.C., Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia.
So far I have only completed 215 miles.

Travelled down the I15 which shadows the Appalachian Hills, turned into a state park and thru the mountain range - beautiful, peaceful and suddenly lonely.......

Joined the R66 at Cavetown (fuelled up at $3.20/gallon!!!), then onto the R845 at Boonsboro to Sharpsburg ...
