    ... region 'stamp' in my Senior Passbook - a way to keep track of each National Park that I visit.

    We're now into Indiana and were able to locate a campground just 3 miles across the border in Michigan. Thankfully we entered this area after the Notre Dame football game had begun or we would have encountered a highway full of anxious fans heading toward South Bend.

    Mileage: 289 miles today / 1001 miles total

    It's official. There is a reason I love Parks and Recreation. It is set in Indiana. WHICH I LOVE.

    This will be a very quick update- we have 30 mins before a tour of Notre Dame University (pronounced 'noter daim' in the USA!)

    Day started with a breakfast meeting at a local firm to discuss a famous wire tapping case (think phone hacking).

    ... minute drive from downtown but literally in the middle of a forest. Started with wine on the decking in the forest. On the drive back to hotel we had a deer run out in front of us. If only we had purchased the gun for sale at Walmart for some fresh venison........
