After a wonderful summer spent east of the Mississippi, we are finally heading west. Everything is crammed into a 5x8 trailer, our spirits are high, and we raring to go! ... catches. There was a regatta into the channel with water cannons and all so the girls had fun watching the "giant fountain." The crowd was mostly families but then around 2pm a "scooter gang" of about 3 dozen riders invaded - very young and strange crowd. ... ride on the dunes so we did that too. These are big dunes left over from the clear cut days that have slowly been restored with small grasses and trees. Our driver would stop to give us the history of the dunes and information about the restoration. Those stops gave us a chance to recover a normal heartbeat before he took off again.
