    ... a fairly regular gradient as it rose, so sometimes the river was right along side and at others it was way below us. However, it usually did not take long for the river to reach our height through a series of rapids.

    ... across a bridge that opens up to allow a boat to go through pretty cool. Heading westward young man today thru Wisconsin. Take a break in Dodgeville for Bernie to have a haircut in an old fashioned small town barber shop. Great town, nice people.     ... quilts have been displayed in an area, a map is developed that guides the viewers to the location. The map will have an address, maybe a picture of the square and a name or explanation of its meaning. A few of the states that have developed quilt trails include, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and our close neighbor, Iowa. WHO KNEW??

    Good People with Some Decent Interest

    The visit with Dave at his Univ. of Northern Iowa Wesley Foundation went really well. We got one card out of it (a young man named Jordan) but I feel may get more down the road. There were some seniors present this evening but a lot of juniors as well.
