8th- 9th July So yesterday we drove out of Niagara Falls, we drove through a small section of Pennsylvania and then entered Ohio, taking the state count this visit to 4. We spent most of the drive driving along the edge of Lake Erie. It is amazing how big it is, you cannot even see the far shore. At times it's more than 100 miles wide, and it's only the 4th largest of the Great Lakes. At ...

... Mike - together you make a great team and a great business!

And, by chance, I came across the Ford Cleveland plant where all the wonderful 351 & 302 Clevelands were made for those few years back in the early '70s - I felt nostalgic for my old 1975 302C powered Ford Fairlane and my 1982 351C powered Ford Bronco. I had a lot of fun in those cars and rarely did I not smile when I drove them!!

Merry Christmas everyone - I hope that Santa is kind to you all!

I flew out of Seattle today to Cleveland, Ohio to collect my new (for me) 1976 Buick Electra.

I now understand why my friends almost fell off their chairs with laughter when I mentioned 'Cleveland' - there is somewhere that can be colder than Seattle, Washington in Winter! When I arrived and walked out of the airport to get a taxi, I felt little flutterings against my face - it was only when I looked into the light of the nearest light that I realized it was lightly snowing!!

... she will start a new job next week with Pandora music in Cleveland. What great news! We've got warm and cold weather clothes, hiking gear, an inflatable two-man kayak, bikes, and an itinerary that should satisfy our wanderlust and highlight the varied landscape of the Pacific Northwest. I hope you'll enjoy our trip vicariously through my blog. First overnight stop...Indiana Dunes State ...
