After spending a few days in Chicago we were happy to arrive at Peninsula State Park. We couldn't have asked for a better campground with the park having a site right on Lake Michigan. Shortly after making dinner on our first night we were surprised when a park ranger drove around the campground announcing severe thunderstorm.
