      ... War II at the local Army base where pilots were learning to fly in trainer aircraft. We retuned to the motel where I read and Jean went for swim for 30 minutes. We then settled on a restaurant for the evening, the Delta Bistro - which Jean called a hidden gem. I had a fabulous crab bisque and goat shank for my meal, Jean had a Cajun Blacken Duck. Wow!       ... We got to the front and realised why flood warnings had been issued the heavens had well and truly opened! We run out to the taxi open the boot for someone else's case to fall out finally got in a taxi looking like positively wet rats.       ... to figure out how to deal with that before we get to the desert! We crossed into Mississippi. There's hardly any traffic along hwy 82, just straight flat highway. We pulled into Greenwood, Mississippi around 3:30 local time and relaxed for awhile, then out to dinner. We picked up a few groceries for tomorrow and then called it a day.
