13 hours and we are here at the factory to get our coach fixed (I HOPE)
Left Franklin around 8AM this morning.
Drove north on US 441 to US 64 towards Ashville, turned north on I-40
to Knoxville and then took I-75 to Indiana, where we got on I-74.
Did the last 130 miles on State highways IN 27. IN 1. and IN 101 .

Saw GA, NC, TN, KY, OH, and IN go by our ...

... Scott showed us around his University, which was very impressive, particularly the sports and soccer facilities. We then went down town the the main street and had an icecream and soda at a shop called Antiqology. They had sodas from all around the world, and some interesting antiques too. ... but tried to focus on the positive side. I told them about shotgun blasts and dog chases, but also about canyons and mountains. They got excited and I could see a spark light up in their minds... Maybe every time they see a cyclist with big bags and a sweaty brow, they'll be inspired to do an adventure and let some of that unnecessary fear go. It's good to have a healthy fear about risks of travel, but some fear is put there by paranoia or by people just trying to keep you in ...

Family update

My grandma passed away peacefully surrounded by her family yesterday early afternoon. Thank you to everyone for their well wishes and prayers.

Today is John and my 13th wedding anniversary. A bit bittersweet, but pretty wonderful to spend it with family. Our family bought us a gift card to a local restaurant for an anniversary dinner tonight. There is so much love here right now.
