Happy Mothers Day as a special treat we got to sleep in till 8 o'clock. It is now 10 am and we just hit the road. Heading north towards Myrtle Beach where Tropical Storm Ana landed this morning. We are hoping to get through and up to Roanoke Rapids NC today. Well it's 12:30 and we are seeing our first rain since leaving Canada 15 days ago. We are near Charston SC. Running into tropical storm Ana. Hopefully we will get through quickly and be ahead of her. All along the freeway ...

Gail made a homemade Vodka sauce pasta. Yummy. And guess what? The rain held off for us as well! Woo ...

However, there were a few hungry flamingos more interested in food than with conflicts within the flock. Feeding these birds was quite an experience. I had seen flamingos plenty of times in the past, but this was the first time for an up-close encounter. Their curved beaks are ...

    What a miserable place!
It's hot as hell, the water in the pool looks like someone poured milk into it, and there is nothing to do in the area.
This is our own fault. We completely spaced about the holiday weekend and this was the ONLY place we could find available anywhere near where we want to go next.
    Boo for us.
We completely understand why this place is for ...
