Poor Jeff, his cold or allergies or whatever it is, is making him miserable, but he got right up at 6:30 am so we would be on the road by 8am. I felt very bad for him as I knew he hadn't slept well. I decided to drive the whole way so he could sleep some.

I went for a run around town tonight. I'm preparing for a long-distance backpack trip and it seems best to be as active as possible in preparation. ... outside of Charlotte, SC.

Mom missed the hotel exit and then when we turned around, the Waze driving device had us make a complete 360 and travel 6 more miles to a completely different exit. Go figure.

Once in the hotel, we were going to bed on a sleeper sofa. When mom sit down, the foot of the bed flipped up in the air almost sending her to the floor. It was a wild ride.

    Night nite, sweet dreams.

    ... outweighed everything...

When we woke up Bryan and Ellan went to pump some fresh water as me and Nick broke up camp. Then we headed back. The return trip was quick and mostly downhill. Sadly we didn't get to enjoy strolling down the mountain because of the rush to get home but it was still time in the woods which is inevitable happiness :)

We got back to Greenville and had delicious personal pizza at Brixx then back home to Columbia.
