      ... it extremely easy on both the ascent and descent. Reaching I-70 there was a backup of traffic to get onto the interstate, the system of traffic lights only allowing one car at a time to enter the interstate was the cause. Once on I-70 east we were stuck in a traffic jam for several miles, and then for no apparent reason the traffic started to roll again.       ... Bill' (real name 'William Frederic Cody) was buried up there and 20,000 people walked up the mountain to see it. There was apparently a fuss about where he should have been buried, with two other sites claiming him, and later on, the grave was covered in concrete to stop anyone taking the body away.

      ... had a mini mass. After church we picked up a couple of things from Whole Foods Market so mum and dad could cook dinner. They made meatballs, they were really nice. Then we drove to a park with lots of Christmas lights and walked around in the cold looking at all the pretty lights.       Left Golden CO. This morning, last leg of the trip, 800 miles via I 70East. Silos, hay bales & corn fields our scenery for the next 2 days. Made it all the way to Paxico KS. 97 degrees here! Since we got to our site I think we have counted 6 trains have gone by. These campgrounds don't list things like that!!       ... something bigger than I'ld ever remembered, something richer, deeper, more alive, more meaningful.

      Traveling through Iowa on the way back to Colorado, I marveled at the sight of all the windmills, and felt a sense of pride that there were those individuals in our country who pushed for this form of clean energy that is also presented in such an artful way amongst the hills and valleys of that state.
