... supermarket on the way to the flat and we arrived at Dallach 94/8 about 4.30pm. The flat has central heating so is very cosy, a living room-lounge-kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed!(seems like single after our king) and a bathroom etc. the view from the balcony down the lake is superb. Unfortunately it has been overcast and rainy since we arrived so we have not seen it at its best yet. Some sun is on the way we hope! Our major disappointment has been to find ...

... we had a drink at the bar and took our laptop down there where it works a lot better!! Tonight we walked down to what seems like a local social club. It was full of Austrians and they seem to be enjoying themselves. The meal was okay – I had fish but as you can tell it wasn’t outstanding. Doesn’t matter. Back in the room for planning for tomorrow and it doesn’t seem that noisy after all thank goodness.

... when we finally got to the end of the tunnels, but unfortunately the clouds had really started to come down over the mountains, so the view wasn't that great anymore. Although it was cool to look back and see all the tunnel-openings behind us. We wanted to walk a little farther in the open, but unfortunately it looked like the views weren't going to be great for quite a while. So we just sat down for a while before heading back.

Weather sunny, very warm. Left Salzburg 10am, had a beautiful drive with colourful scenery to the toll gate for the Grossglockner Alpenhochstrasse.
