    ... the rafts apart, and then make their way home to start it all over again. The rafters were the first professional guild in Fussen! We then headed to the colorful Church of the Holy Spirt (it was the rafters' church!) , the Benedictine Monastery, the St. Magnus Basilica and then the Hight Castle!     Once we finished with his boyhood home, we headed up a very steep 30-minute hike to get to his fairytale castle, Neuschwanstein! While the first castle was beautiful but not extravagant, the parts of this castle that were finished were astounding opulent!     ... and walk. Aunt Marge got out, found the hotel, confirmed that we had reserved parking, and then--we still could not figure out how to get to the lot. Hans wanted us to get out and walk again. Frustrated, we gave up and drove to Schwangau and paid to park in one of the lots there. We arrived around 12:10, so we still had plenty of time to pick up the tickets.
