After a bit of a wander around and a few pictures we ventured back down to the lower level where there was a BBQ, an outdoor bar and lots of people taking in the fine conditions on outdoor tables and deck chairs. ... he wasn't a very good leader and tried to dispose of him politically by having a number of physicians declare that he was insane (this is where the "mad" comes from). I think the whole reign of King Ludwig is probably the greatest example I know of of why monarchy sucks as a system of government. If you get one king who doesn't care at all about politics, international affairs, or the responsibilities involved in running a nation, and would rather spend ...
