... to your cuban friend about eating alot of papaya.

I have planned out the next 3 months of my life( you think I'm exagerating, but I'm not). Basically it's non-stop bussing around on the weekends to some of the crazy destinations in Nica, but I'll give more details once I have actually been there.

As far as personal life in the house goes, its pretty relaxing. On my run this morning, I saw an eight year ...

... for the more restless holidaymaker but also has picture perfect scenery which makes it ideal for those who prefer to sit back and take it all in, by the pool in their private villa overlooking the ocean and relishing in the idyllic views in their very own version of paradise, the clean air and the serenity that this island exudes. When vacationing on the island you feel like on of the chosen few, as there are no rows of holiday homes, especially built for holidaymakers ...

Spice Island - Grenada

... get around the marina and I see this giant 2 story Party Boat. Sure, it was a Motorized catamaran...but not a Sail equipped Catamaran!!! At this point, what do you do....we got on the boat and thought we'd make the most of it. There was a nice Steel Band and the crew was nice enough, but that was where the good eneded. The sail over to Morne Rouge beach was crazy rough, especially if ...

Grenada

A very, very hot day in Grenada (high 80's / high 20's). When it showers, it feels very warm and almost dries instantly to your skin (very refreshing). We did some brief shopping today (Spice Islands). Ready to head sail to Bonaire (near South America) for tonight and tomorrow. One more port to go before sailing back to the USA, where we stop in Aruba on Wednesday (big shopping day).

Grenada's highlights & scenic drive

... us . It was out of this world to put it mildly. I kept thinking, King Kong would have loved to live here, in all of this green vegetation and mountains. It was entirely a different landscape than the islands previously visited the last two days. The colourful painted houses were built on the hillsides giving a tropical and exotic view. Dark clouds could be seen in the centre of the island probably a rainforest, otherwise ...

... its own rules regarding entrance and departure, we are sure to politely ask the procedure. The document that we filled in for Grenada asked the value of our belongings. I wanted to find out what the cutoff level was without giving anything away - if we were close, I could live with fudging the value a tad. We had brought my new Sailrite sewing machine with us as well as our computer and other "ship's stores". I'm not sure why they need to know ...

... super parents. The kids must have sensed that an exciting day was in store, because they both woke up around 5am, ready and raring to go. We arrived at the jetty, ready to be ferried to our ship at 7am sharp. Once under way, we tucked into our breakfast of fresh fruit, muffins and pains-aux-chocolat (uh, excuse me, what happened to those banana pancakes with nutmeg syrup from the brochure?). Zoya was pretty miserable for the ...

to Tyrell Bay

Steady winds. Partly cloudy. Leisurely morning at PSV. Sailed to Clifton Bay to do departing customs. Bought a few more supplies. Had ice cream at hotel. Headed south. First stop was Hillsborough Bay on Carriacou to do customs. Then sailed to Tyrell Bay. Immediately attacked by aquatic vendors. Decided to splurge and buy lobster. Vendors love to use character assassination on each other. Sue went swimming. Discovered that one ...
