    ... by day and pub by night and met a young lady from New Zealand who was home to visit. We then went off to Dick Mack's another great local pub and enjoyed a conversation with two women visiting from England. One is from Oxford and is researching a novel set in the 16th century, I gave her my email address and hopefully she lets me know when her novel is complete so I can read it and say that I met the author.

    After the beautiful sunset last night was very disappointed to awake to grey skies and very low cloud. Breakfast was in the dining room overlooking the beach but was very glum today. Didn't rush to head out, finally departed around 10.00am, had to put diesel in the car, only the second time we have filled up.     ... the Killmer Ferry, we stumbled across a bus load of young Irish lads off to play football. We were dressed for the 11 degrees C. They had, as you would expect footy shorts and tee shirts and more red hair and freckles than we've ever seen in one place.

    Never seen a group hit a kiosk so fast. It is of course a 20 minutes trip across the river so they had to keep up their strength with sugar.
