Turns out we may have taken the road less traveled but still wound up at beautiful viewpoint 2. ...

... if I was looking for some breakfast - my saviour! I told him I was being picked up for a tour shortly and needed a quick breakfast which he said wouldn't be a problem. I ordered and was able to eat with enough time to walk back to my own resort and wait to be picked up. My ride came shortly after I got back and I was in my way for a day tour of snorkelling and swimming.
