But alls well that ends well: the guy felt bad and gave us a slight discount and we had more time to explore the rest of Koh Phi Phi and chill on Viking Beach :) It was enough to convince us though to head over to El Nido instead of Bouracai in the Philippines. El Nido is a long bus ride away from the airport but at least it is a lot less touristy :) So we hope for no more crowded beaches or getting ripped ...

Post 4 hours, 1.5 liters of UV fluid and antibiotic shot, Richard started to feel a little better. 14,000 baht for all the treatment - wow - add a few more 0's into that had we been in the US! The music blared until 12 midnight again, and a SECOND earthquake hit again at 1.30am. Am kinda getting spooked by this ...
Having gotten burnt the day before, we knew we had to stay out of the sun so we hired a bike for the day. I had a load of postcards to send that I'd written a while before so we headed to the post office to send them. At the post office we saw a few mopeds with cardboard wrapped around them- we found this highly amusing!! We walked around the town with a fruit mojito each in a plastic cup and bought a couple of items of clothing then sat in a bar looking out ...
... after 45 minutes we were all back at the boat. Time to go back to our paradise island.. Koh Jum.
It took about 2 hours to get back. What a great day! Didier will send us the underwater pictures he took....It's one of those experiences that you won't ever forget....picture book beautiful....epic fun, sore cheek smiles...and a Wow sensation that I hope never goes away. :)))
