    ... got his old Land Rover out and took us all down to this private beach. We sat in the back. It was great fun. When we got to the beach we walked along the estuary to the sea. It was very pretty. We even got to climb the rocks. Just like we do at Gerringong.

    We climbed back in the Land Rover for the trip home. This time Dad sat in the back with us. He reckoned it was pretty cool too.

    Off we go to our B&B. We are only here one night on route to Portsmouth. In the morning we take a walk down by the sea. They have a nice little pedestrian area where you can stroll along as well. It is another nice day and the dogs are all out playing in the surf. Dogs are prohibited from the beach from May to September, but it is October now and it is play time for puppies.

    ... to our plane. It was soooo small and had propellers on it. I don't think we've ever been on a pla be so small. Anyway we got on and had this quiche that Mum had cooked before we left, and before we knew it we had arrived at Exeter airport in the UK.

    Dad had booked a car but when he went to pick it up they wanted to charge a one-way fee. Dad said that it wasn't included in the booking and they had to ring up and check with the company he had booked with. He was right ...
