      ... and steamed potatoes (no butter or sour cream). Felt more like a proper meal. if any food is left on your plate, you are offered a box to take it away. i stripped the meat off the bones when we got back to the motel - lunch for tomorrow.

      Finding bread rolls has been a bit tricky. We have had wraps for the last 2 days as an alternative.

      People from the Upper Peninsular of Michigan are called Yoopers. We are on the southern tip of the UP in St Ignace.

      As predicted the weather has turned sour and it has rained or drizzled for most of the day. We had planned a quiet day so that was good for us.

      Breakfast in Paradise was danish pastries or donuts, coffee and juice. I opted for one of our apples and some sultanas (courtesy of Comfort Hotel Chicago).

      ... We arrived in a treacherous storm that brought more rainfall than the area had seen in decades. The piling our bowline was secured to gave way at it's support and the crew spent an hour outside in the downpour re-securing the boat and heaving the piling off our hull. The following morning the highways were still flooded causing major traffic delays and we spent hours wondering if the lunch cruise was even going to take place. Arriving late but arriving all ...
