Chattanooga - what a great name for a place. The sole purpose of visiting this city was to have a look at the train that featured as the Chattanooga Choo Choo? Now for those who don't know, the song was made famous by one of the great bands of all time, the Glen Miller orchestra. The song was also sung by the Andrews sisters. The train is now based permanently at the Chattanoogan, a hotel that has turned the terminal into a hotel and has used carriages ...

... for the kids to play in. The
adults got in too and it wasn't crowded at the time we were there.
Plus it was so hot everyone dried quickly. That was a fun 90 minutes
and a break in the rushing around and driving routine that is part of
    every day here in USA.

Drove to Calhoun GA from there and
settled at another Walmart. Less hot today so hoping the exhaustion

crashed at 6pm and slept through the night and we all felt very full
and worn out. Next time I might have to get something savoury!

Theme for the day: Everyone calm down!! It was epic just to get on the road today. Most of the packing was done last night and we just had to load this morning. Yeah, things are never that simple. I thought we could be off by 7:30 but it was more like 10:00. We stopped at the hospital and said goodbye to Ralph and headed down the road. We made it to my Dad's tonight. We all ate dinner and ...
