We got a ferry from Singapore to Batam and for the first time I have been able to relax without being told to hurry up and put my hair straightners down!

Singapore in a day
... buses so Daisy could get an over-view of the city. The round trip takes about 1 hour so I figured we could afford to take a total of 90minutes at the syops as the buses run on a half hour rotation. The first stop we took was Chinatown for 30 minutes so we only walked around and Daisy bought a pair of pants from a shop. Second stop was on Orchard Rd, the main shopping street, so we spent an hour there which wasn't anywhere near enough ...
Singapore, so clean and so pristine
... had the same shops as the next.
We got out of the shopping centre and headed to Raffles hotel, which was in the start of the pretty colonial area of Singapore. Nearby was the Marina Centre where we had a drink over looking the skyscrapers and bay.
Walking on we got to the harbourside, we stopped and sat at Esplanade Theatres on the Bay and watched the sunset. There was an orchestra playing at the outdoor pavilion which added to the atmosphere.
