... It was actually good. The tour guide from our day trip to The Keukenhoff Gardens said that the Dutch way of eating the herring was to tilt your head back and open your mouth, so that is what we did. It was sort of hard to keep the onions in-between the fish when we held it by its tail though.

We were the only ones in the large turkish restaurant, but the food was good and came in large portions (justifying the price...). As it was about 3pm by this stage and the sun was about to set we decided to head back into town to try to find the International Criminal Court. Homeward bound
... pulling wheeled luggage along a gravel track through a jumbled lava field to some destination hidden by cloud and driving rain - which made us very pleased to have hired a car. It may have cost a bit more but it gave a lot more, avoiding the need to stop in places just to make a bus connection, enabling little exploratory side trips and being able to drive door to door. The way to go, except on those mountain roads...
