    ... a plain pair of wooden clogs. He engraves the top of them with a unique design or pattern. He then presents them to his girlfriend. If she accepts them, they are officially engaged to be married. A lot cheaper than a ring, but a lot more work!! Both Tiff and Chloé found some clogs that they loved. They can't wait to get home to wear them while working in Grammie's garden :)

    ... road up onto gutters, footpaths around posts etc. so as to avoid collisions with cars, buses and other cycles. Our driver was such a character, very friendly and kept saying, “I can do it, don’t worry”. It appears it’s all in a days work for him!

    We enjoyed the visit to this very different city in which the people seem to enjoy a relaxed life style especially when commuting!

    ... and very casual, and didn't seem like a seedy area at all, it just felt very normal, which for here, I suppose it is! After that we jumped on a tram and headed back to the hostel, where we sorted our travel for the next day and printed our tickets.     Goedmorgen! This picture sows you on top what it looked like at 2230, and the bottom is a half an hour later at 2300. So bright, so late! The picture on the bottom looks darker than it really was, I don't think it really gets dark like it does in the US. We are just so far north that summer has very long days, and winter is very short.
