There's a tv room if you want to chill out in there.

Rooms were ok, bit of a mess. Also boiling hot. Air con had cut out.

First time in a hostel and I was very impressed, we had a private room which had a huge wet room/en suite, towels, toiletries and a very comfy bed. Very convenient location and friendly staff....

Brisbane - home time!

A travel blog entry by mattchurch7 on Jan 25, 2015

Unfortunately Tuesday 20th turned out to be a fairly dull day, because it rained ALL DAY! So much for being the sunshine state! I did manage to fit an hour of reading in at my favourite spot in the Botanical gardens, before hiding in the shopping centres and starting the expensive task of gift buying! The weather cleared upslightly on Wednesday …

We arrived from surfers fairly late in the afternoon and then had a 20 minute walk to base embassy , this was the hostel for our three nights ! This was our worst hostel experience to date as the entire dorm was workers so they slept through the day and worked at night ! The first day we got a bus to lone pine! This is where we held koalas and got …

Homeless in Australia

Today was an interesting day... I woke up to my fellow UW students telling me that the hostel we were in was booked full for tonight so we wouldn't be able to extend our stay. This made me essentially homeless in Brisbane given that our attempts to find permanent housing had been very unsuccessful up to this point. After that sunk in we decided ...
