... the guides could herd our large group (10 per raft and about 6-8 rafts) through a photo opportunity in front of a waterfall. They would then charge ridiculous amounts for people to buy photos at the end. We didn't participate. It was also a shame our waterproof camera broke as we have no photos from the actual rafting. It was like watching monkeys in a circus. A mass conveyor belt of typical tourism hogwash. We didn't mind too much as ...

We walked up away from the beach and found some more ruins. They were all lit up bright. Then we walked back to the room wondering how we can get out of here each day.... We have booked 3 nights. Oh dear.
In the morning we woke and had breakfast in the turtle garden (20 turtles) with the lovely owner of the place ...
Today we took a bus tour east of Antalya. It started early - 8am. Being on time isn't high on the list of priorities around here. Sue and I were at the pick up point at 7:50 am. And no one showed till 8:15. We were beginning to get concerned. But all in all it was a good day. First stop, the Ancient City of Perge., 17 km east. Though in existence in the Hittite Period, during the Roman Period it became one of the most orderly cities of Anatolia. We will ...

The weather was cool with billowy clouds and plenty blue sky. We landed in a different world when we got to the coast.

Good try, Yusef, good try.
Breakfast was a rather hurried affair, as we had a slow start and had to be back in the bus by ten. Oats, yoghurt and a few apricots were perfect. A certain lack of spoons meant I am now practised at eating yoghurt with a fork.
Our room is on the fourth floor, so I am grateful there is a lift. I now know I need to get in the D block lift, and ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Barut Hemera Side
hello people, i stayed at the hemera from 04-17th October. it was great, the beach is 10secs away and its lovely.
stayed last week for a week with wife & kids ( 9 & 6 years old) don't see the point of listing all the +ves ( and they are many) as previous reviews go into great detail. Key points were very helpful & friendly staff / locals, as much as you can eat, varied menu, as much as you can drink if you should so wish, excellant facilities( pools , turkish bath, gym, shows / animations, entertaining performers.
We stayed at the Hemera in October 2004 and had a great time. The staff at the hotel made it for us, everyone is so friendly and cannot do enough for you. The hotel is all that you expect from an all-inclusive and more. You can relax by the pool, beach or around the landscape garden setting. The food is very good and there is a considerable choice, although I did miss my full English breakfast. What I also liked was that you were served the main courses by the chefs, which helps to prevent the food being contaminated by others. The downside to being served was when there was a dish that you particularly liked and wanted more you were at times greeted with a 'what more' look from the chef! Mind you, you can go up and get more if you needed too.
I have been to Hemera 5 times now, and I would have to say that it is one of the best places I have ever been.
Sounds like its still great at the Hemera
We stayed at the Hemera two years ago and it was brilliant for everyone in everyway sounds like it is still a great place to holiday - hope to go back one day
The Hemera is the best HOTEL all rounder that we have ever stayed in . People ,staff , food , rooms ,service is all top class . The mini bar stocked every day .Beach to die for the trouble is it spoils you, for one tends to compare every other hotel to it, and they dont come up to its standards.
The management are to be commended.
Hemera was really great! I wanna go back next year!!!! I don't know why Hemera has 4 stars and not 5. The Pool is good, the food is good, the people who work there are good. The animation team is really good, they are very nice and they are work hard but they are not the only one there who work hard. Greets to Ibo, Halil, Speedy Gonzales, Serkan and Tahir.
Tried and Tested many times!!!!
Never in a million years would I think I would go back to a place, "once" let alone 6 times!!!
