... our driver who was taking us the 2 hours to catch the train to Machu Picchu. The drive through the country was beautiful with lots of things to see. We arrived at the train station with time to spare. Peru Rail runs the trains through the area that go to Machu Picchu and the train runs into the Amazon. Got the full family immersion on our trip this weekend. Brian's dad's family is from all around LA and San Diego area. ... sun, we walked through some of the grounds and lobby and decided that we will definitely go back and stay there. Coronado Island, like La Jolla, is a bit more affluent with a beautiful downtown area and more upscale shops. There is also a large military training facility at the other end of the beach.
