... us to be tossed out of 801 for 4 weeks!
The flood caused more damage to the carpet and walls than to any of our belongings, so that was ok.
However the asbestos scare was incredibly scary but when the tests came back we were assured that the amount of asbestos exposure was minute (California has tight laws and thus had to be cleaned/sorted even with such low levels-thank goodness) & that our time of exposure was so short that we should have nothing ...

... hot pepper. Then we asked about ice cream. On the way we saw a sign for gelato.....it was the best I can remember ever having.

The beach is a stone's throw from our room and we’re reminded of how relaxing the lulling sound of the surf can be. At the Del Coronado, we woke up to the waves crashing against the rocks, along with some cloudy weather. Oh no! What happened to "it never rains in Southern California?"

Our children’s diet hasn’t been extremely healthy, so we decided to stock up the mini-fridge in the room with some healthy choices. After we had ...

Cabrillo, Curry and Coronado

... phone went into roaming mode. It was beautiful, and apart from some slight smog on the horizon, it was a perfectly clear day. The 360 degree view (yes, I realise all views are technically 360 degrees, but this one had pretty stuff to look at for all 360 of them) gives you a look at Mexico, Coronado Island (where we spent our Saturday), The Pacific Ocean and San Diego. Point Cabrillo is a military base and cemetery; Dave's father is actually buried there. There is ...
