Hello Strangers!!

... was also a lot of culture that appeared at the comedy night because the jokes were falling flat on a lot of the crowd since no one got most of the jokes. Not to mention since they were all just starting out the jokes weren’t even that good! The majority of us left after the first half.

That brings us to the middle of the week and me checking out places and trying to find a job. And I’m sure some of you are wondering, “So, did you get the bank ...

Wow... are we happy or what to finally be out of CORK!!!!!!!!

Along the way we had two stops to make they were Rock of Cashel and Dunmore Caves. This being said we got up early so that when the parking garage opened up at 8 am we could be on our way out of the city and away from Cork.

We arrived at Rock of Cashel which was the third item on my list of places that I wanted to visit in Ireland. Last of Ireland!

August 23, 2009

My last day in Ireland…I have very mixed feelings about leaving. Ireland is beautiful and has boundless personality. But at this point I have run out of laundry, am a puddle-jumping and downpour-dodging expert, have lost half of my socks (one left…not one pair…one single sock. I alternate feet ;-) ) and have had more than enough experiences of waking up in a hostel dorm to hairy and half-naked men ...

... to church on Sunday morning. We followed suit, though in a slightly different way than the stereotypical Irish one. Firstly, we headed not to a Catholic church but to a Presbyterian one in Howth, in the area of Dublin’s north where we had taken a not quite on purpose detour through on our arrival two weeks earlier. Secondly, the man doing the sermon that morning was called Rob, and by his accent and his delivery it was pretty clear ...

Drogheda – Wicklow – Dublin

(Originally published at http://www.troysgonewalkabout.com)
< br>We completed the short commute down the motorway to Dublin and, with all beds in the city booked on weekends pretty regularly, I thought it would be best to look for a place to stay in the morning rather than leave things till evening. The B&B for our last three nights was out in Maynooth in Dublin’s western outskirts, the home of quietly spoken Jim and his not so quietly ...

Powerscourt, Glendalough, and the Wicklow area

... in the right direction following the small stream. Twenty minutes later we are deciding if we are turning around, as the rain is coming in. A couple minutes after that, we're dodging under trees and trying not to get soaked. Hate to miss a hiking day, but the wind is picking up and it's just not the type of day to be out without rain gear. Now, we have to return. Back in the car, and a little wet, we decide it's time to grab something to eat. A ...
