Found another great beach to spend some time. We have. Had some technical difficulties so haven't been blogging much. Just golfing and enjoying the sunshine. This really is an amazing place if you love the beach. The food is good in all the restaurants too. Some times the menu is a bit too English for my taste but lots of Local Portuguese fare as well. The wine, beer and port is ...

We had an amazing breakfast at Dinis - plenty of fruit, meats, cheeses, cereals, breads on an open verandah. After leaving Hotel Dinis we drove down to the marina in Lagos to do some exploring but not after getting swallowed up in some narrow streets unintentionally for about 2k. The temperatures at 10 am were already in the high 20s as we walked along the marina looking at the vendors, watching the yachts and launches taking people out on ...

Our last stop was at the Marzipan factory, which was located near our hotel. These are historical buildings that the government chose to preserve by turning them into luxury hotels starting in the 1940's. All of them are lovely, and this one is no exception. Our guides treated us to typical Portuguese desserts out on the terrace.

Margarida and Rob dropped us off at the hotel in mid-afternoon. ...

... and veggies make for good pictures! The top of the main church even boasted an empty stork's nest!

Our next stop was in Tavira, very near the Spanish border, for lunch. Our guides chose a shady spot at an outdoor café on the river, and insisted that we try the local specialites, grilled sardines and grilled octopus. Accompanied by a lovely tomato salad and local wine, everything was delicious! We worked off lunch by ...
